GroundFloor Media Leadership Continues to Expand Community Involvement
Ramonna Tooley recently joined nonprofit board and committee, received two award nominations
DENVER, Aug. 10, 2010 – GroundFloor Media Communications, a Denver-based public relations agency, further expanded its involvement in the community with two recent appointments of Ramonna Tooley, GroundFloor Media vice president and managing partner. Tooley accepted a position on the board of directors for SafeHouse Denver and was named to the marketing committee of the Metro Denver Sports Commission.
“GroundFloor Media is rooted in the belief that organizations, as well as individuals, must be good tenants of our communities,” said Tooley. “We owe it to society to do what we can to improve the lives of our neighbors far beyond the borders Colorado. I am proud to have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to SafeHouse Denver and the Metro Denver Sports Commission and look forward to the work we will do together.”
SafeHouse Denver serves victims of domestic violence and their children through both an emergency shelter and a non-residential counseling and advocacy center. All of the women, children and youth who come to SafeHouse Denver have access to a full range of bilingual programming, including individual counseling, group sessions, advocacy and safety planning.
The Metro Denver Sports Commission, or Denver Sports, is a non-profit organization whose vision is to elevate sport and energize lives. With the mission of attracting, facilitating and supporting the economic and social vitality of the greater metro area, Denver Sports works to draw premier domestic and international sporting events to the Denver market.
“For GroundFloor Media, giving back expands our passion for life and connects us to the people and organizations that need assistance the most,” said Laura Love, GroundFloor Media founding partner and president. “Ramonna consistently leads by example and is incredibly active in the community both professionally and personally. Her dedication to organizations beyond GroundFloor Media inspires the rest of us to be better neighbors and community supporters.”
Tooley’s community and business involvement is so significant she was recently recognized by two organizations for her outstanding efforts.
