Her campaign work supports various service lines including media and influencer relations, internal communications, crisis communication and issues management, experiential marketing and social media.

During her tenure at GFM, Jennifer led the Colorado Health Foundation, the third largest health-focused foundation in the U.S., through its sale of its equity stake in the Denver-area’s HCA-HealthONE health care system; executed media relations for the USA Swimming Foundation’s six-city Make a Splash Tour; oversaw the move of Children's Hospital Colorado from Denver to the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora; and served on the Molson Canadian team to execute a national experiential campaign to “Welcome Back Hockey” in 2005, just to name a few. She managed the content on the company’s Intranet and worked with the senior management team on product integration, store openings and communication between the corporate office and individual stores. Jennifer was the recipient of the 2003 “Corporate Employee of the Year” award.

Jennifer began her career in public relations at Barnhart/CMI, a full-service marketing agency in Denver. While at Barnhart, she implemented media relations and community outreach programs for Jones International University, Canine Hardware, Zeppelin Development, Colorado Water Protection Project, Ultimate Electronics and glo Boutique. Additionally, Jennifer worked with Wells Fargo Bank in Colorado and Wyoming to develop Wells Fargo Link, a customer loyalty program.

Jennifer currently serves as the past president on the board of the Colorado Healthcare Communicators and is working with CancerCure, a group started by her mom in 1996 to support ongoing cancer research at CU Cancer Center, to increase membership.

A native of Colorado, Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She lives in the ‘burbs with her husband, their two daughters and their four-legged white lab mix. Jennifer and family can usually be found enjoying the outdoors – gardening, swimming, hiking and skiing, but never golfing. Even though her husband is a golf pro, that is one activity she has not mastered.

Biography | The Real Story

Born in Michigan, Jen Wills’ family hopped from Connecticut to California before finally settling centrally in Denver. She’s been with GFM since 2005, but up until then, she spent a great deal of downtime collecting milk mustache ads. Nobody knows why. But since she’s been doing it since the 8th grade, she figures she won’t mess with a good thing A former member of the crew team at CU Boulder, Jen learned that determination and focus help one accomplish whatever one wants – even if one wants more more milk mustache ads.

Jen proudly claims her mother as her personal hero, and clearly cherishes family above all else in her life. Those milk mustache ads have been replaced by the downtime distraction provided by her golf pro hubby, their beautiful daughter and spoiled pooch. They love taking their little one to the nearby park. They also love to sip a little vino on the patio and enjoy the stars and the quiet, chiminea-scented air.

She loves to travel and has seen Denmark, France, Italy and Russia, among other spots. But don’t think for a moment that you’ll catch this jet setter crashing in a low-rent hostel. She did it one night, and that was enough, claiming that noisy travelers and communal toilets are not really “her thing.” She actually slept with her hand on her necklace all night long, scared that someone might take it! She still has the necklace, so yeah, who’s crazy now?

While she used to daydream of wiling away the hours on the beaches of Positano, she now pines for simpler pleasures such as a nice massage or pedicure. But if she comes to your spa requesting Pedicular Manipulational Treatmentology, know that it’s one of her infamous “Jenniferisms,” so smile, and just charge her for the foot massage.
