Community Outreach

GroundFloor Media Community Outreach

The spirit of community that pervades GFM is rooted in a belief that organizations, as well as individuals, must give back to the community in which they live, work, pray and play. For us, giving back not only expands our passion for life, it connects us to communities and organizations that share our commitment to helping people who need assistance most.

Since our inception, GFM has donated the equivalent of nearly 15 percent of annual revenues back to the community via cash contributions, pro bono public relations, reduced billing rates for nonprofit clients and staff time committed to community organizations. Recent pro-bono partners have included SafeHouse Denver, which operates the only shelter in the City and County of Denver that exclusively serves victims of domestic violence, as well as a non-residential Counseling & Advocacy Center, and Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime Foundation, which fosters respect and appreciation for seniors by granting life-enriching wishes. From 2006-2010, our pro bono client was the Tennyson Center for Children, one of the Rocky Mountain region's leading treatment and educational centers for abused, neglected and at-risk youth. We received the national Kauffman Community Award for the charitable work we did in partnership with this deserving organization.

You’ll also find GFM team members serving on the boards of community organizations, leading key committees within those organizations and getting their hands dirty volunteering time to help people in need. Some of the organizations in which our staff members have recently been involved include ALS Rocky Mountain Chapter, Bicycle Colorado, Colorado Outward Bound School, Colorado Business Commitee for the Arts, Cooking Matters Colorado, The Denver Foundation, Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, Denver Rescue Mission, Denver StartUp Week, dZi Foundation, Downtown Denver Partnership, Friends of AirLife, Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime Foundation, Metro CareRing, Metro Denver Sports Commission, PlatteForum, SafeHouse Denver, Special Olympics, Tennyson Center for Children and Trout Unlimited.

Other charitable and nonprofit clients we have worked with include:
